A five-year-old boy was saved from drowning in the club pool Wednesday at the Omaha Country Club by two members, reports say.
The youth, Scottie Camero, was initially treated by the two club members, who were a doctor and a firefighter, until emergency services arrived. The boy, who was visiting the club with his parents, entered the adult swimming pool. He did not know how to swim.
When a club member saw the boy unconscious, he jumped in and pulled him to the pool's edge, where the other two other club members, Dr. Stanley Schack and Matt Pape of the Omaha Fire Department, performed CPR, reestablishing the boy's breathing.
The boy was taken to Immanuel Medical Center and then Children's Hospital for observation, reports say.
